What are Findings?

This guide gives you an overview and the purpose of the 'Findings' tab.

What is the 'Findings' tab?

The 'Findings' tab is a centralized view of all existing gaps in your account, whether from assessments or apps, such as Risk Recon.

The tab enables you to find all the gaps in one place, as opposed to going to find gaps in your account assessment by assessment.

The 'Findings' Tab

Upon logging into the platform, click the ‘Findings’ tab on the left-hand side.

You will be taken to the 'Findings’ page. Here you will see a list of all the findings that exist in your account neatly located in one place.

Note the headings for each finding:

  • 'DATE' - the date the findings was triggered.

  • 'VENDOR' - the name of the vendor that needs to close a gap.

  • 'ASSESSMENT' - the assessment for where the finding is located.

  • 'SUBJECT' - The subject/category within an assessment where the finding is located.

  • 'DESCRIPTION' - The first line of the description of the finding (i.e. an outline of the gap).

  • 'RISK' - the risk level of the gap: 'High', 'Medium', or 'Low'.

  • 'STATUS' - whether the finding is 'OPEN' (the assessee needs to fix the gap), 'PENDING' (the assessor needs to review the assessee's changes) or 'CLOSED' (the gap has been closed).

Every line in the 'Findings' tab is clickable and will take you directly to that section in the platform. For example, if you click the vendor's name, it will take you directly to all of their findings with the relevant details.

Filtering Capabilities

Each tab, including the ‘Findings’ tab, has sophisticated filtering capabilities that allow you to drill down into the details you are looking for.

For example, let’s filter by vendor. Once you click the 'FILTERS' and then the 'APPLY FILTERS' button, you will get a filtered view of the parameter(s) you chose.
