Introduction

This guide shows you how to use the New Language (NL) filter in the Findings system.

Please Note, you can use the NL filter in any of the ‘Vendors’, ‘Assessments’, ‘Findings’ and ‘Evidences’ tabs. However, for the purposes of this guide, we will only show the process in the ‘Vendors’ tab (to avoid repetition).

Step 1 - 'Vendors'

Hover to the left-hand side of the screen and click the ‘Vendors’ tab.

Step 2 - 'Filter'

Hover to the top of the vendor list and click the ‘FILTER’ button.

A popup box, titled ‘Filter with AI’, will appear. In the middle is a text box, with the words ‘Describe what you want to filter’ inside it. Type what you want to filter; for example, ‘all vendors with the word “company” in their name’.

Now, click the blue arrow to the right of the text box.

Step 3 - ‘APPLY FILTER’

The text in the box changes and the AI now outlines your request, with a question at the end, asking if it is correct in its understanding.

Presuming the AI has understood your request correctly, click the ‘APPLY FILTER’ button.

(If, however, the AI has not understood your request correctly, you can clarify your request in the ‘Describe what you want to filter’ text box. Type your clarification and then click the blue arrow button again. Do this as often as you need and then click the ‘APPLY FILTER’ button.)

Moreover, you can make the query more complex by typing into the text box other criteria you require; for example, 'the vendor must have the word 'demo' in their title too'. (Again, you can do this as often as you need and then click the ‘APPLY FILTER’ button.)

Conclusion - Filtered

Your list will now be filtered according to the criteria you requested; for example, our vendor here list will only show vendors with the word ‘Company’ in their titles.
